Ok, wow, just wow. I have to say I’m very humbled and super grateful. Blogging for me has become an outlet, I don’t belong to social media sites (well I used to but I don’t anymore) so blogging has become my way of sharing something with the world. I do hope that people get something out of my blog, I hope that God can work through me with my blog. Today I got a big surprise though. Debra, who co-writes a blog with her friend, found me because of our shared love for mushrooms. She has graciously nominated me for this really sweet award, the hug award. It is slightly ironic because I actually end most of my emails with, “hugs!” No matter what, I’m honored. To be honest I’ve written blogs before but it wasn’t until I got on wordpress that people actually started “following” my blog. I guess it’s nice that people want to hear what you have to say sometimes, I say that in a humble way.
There are guidelines to the hug award and you can read them here. But here are a few things they mention on the blog:
The HUG Award© is for people with an expectant desire for the world, for which they: Hope for Love; Hope for Freedom; Hope for Peace; Hope for Equality; Hope for Unity; Hope for Joy and Happiness; Hope for Compassion and Mercy; Hope for Faith; Hope for Wholeness and Wellness; Hope for Prosperity; Hope for Ecological Preservation; Hope for Oneness
The HUG Award© recognizes and honors those who help keep hope alive in our current world, which is plagued by war, natural disasters, and economic recession. They nurture hope, in any of the above areas (in italics), by the work they do, or in their personal lives with things such as blogging, public speaking, charity work, etc.
After being nominated I am supposed to nominate someone else. Honestly it was the easiest choice for me. I have been following the blog of a wonderful woman who shares the same love of nutrition and natural lifestyle as I do. She home schools her children (LOVE that!) and teaches them about real nutrition and life. She is on the path to raising the most amazing next generation! So my nomination goes to Live. Grow. Nourish. Create.
I hope you stop by and check out her blog and enjoy it as much as I do. It is nice to recognize others. I think this is a really beautiful thing to pass on, especially to other bloggers, we do seem to get to know one another this way. I’m grateful to Debra for the acknowledgment and I’m grateful to pass that same acknowledgement on. A hug is such a beautiful thing.
Wow, Corri! You did that quickly! I’m impressed…it took me more than two weeks 🙂 You have a graciousness about you that is very special. I’m so glad we have had this chance to connect, and isn’t this fun! Debra
Haha I don’t read too many blogs and don’t have too many followers so it’s not too hard to pick. I do have one more that I will do tomorrow but wanted it to be special for each person. 🙂 It is so great we got to connect. I feel like I should know you personally. Maybe one day. Happy Friday! Enjoy your day!
Oh, I am so flattered and touched that you have nominated me for this award, I really am! It has been a joy to “meet” you here in blogland and lets hope we can continue to inspire each other on our journeys together!
I will have to put my mind to who I can nominate to pass on this award.
Hugs ((()))
